Project Sample:
Training Web Portal |
A web portal was developed to provide personalized
training and learning. Originally named LibrarE and then re-named to
E-Train, this portal provided access to
over 1000 online training courses. Users would purchase access to
these courses and the site would track their progress and provide
reporting both on an individual basis and to managers of groups of
individuals.
The site was developed using Microsoft Active Server
Pages (ASP) running on Windows 2000 using Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 as the
underlying database engine. To provide course tracking, we also
developed specialized course interface software using Microsoft Visual
C++. All site development took place over a one-year period; LibrarE
was then sold to a group of investors for several million dollars.
NOTE: The site look shown in the examples, below, was developed by
the owner of LibrarE. For your site's look, a professional web
designer would be contracted. After LibrarE was sold, one of these
designers was hired, and you can see the results by clicking
here.
